Make it Change

So, the main reason I like drinking coffee in a Starbucks store itself is because they have the New York Times there, and I always take one and read it and then put it back in the rack when I'm done. On Sundays, that's like saving $7 or so... worth every penny of the $1.59 I spend on a grande drip.

Anyway, one day there was a short little article primarily focused on a fisherman/restaurant owner who lived on the Danube River in Croatia I believe. He was famous in the region for his amazing fish chowder. He said he quite openly gave away the recipe, for it was the FISH that was the most important ingredient. The fish he caught on the Danube himself in his small boat.

He said for the most part it was a beautiful place to live, very little ever changed really, it was as it had always been. The rainy season... the dry season... etc... There was that one time when the authorities asked him to use his boat to fish bodies out of the river... but no one in town really liked to talk about that anymore.

Me solo, putting it down for posterity, one take.

There ain't no way
To stop the rain from coming down
There ain't no way
To stop the rain from coming down
Ain't no way to make it change
To make it change

Ain't nothing I can do
To make it change

There ain't no way
To stop those planes from coming around
There ain't no way
To stop those planes from coming around
I just pray that we'll be safe
We'll be safe

Ain't nothing I can do
To make it change

Ain't nothing new
On the river these days
Ain't nothing new
On the river these days
Nothing new that we can say
That we can say

Ain't nothing we want to talk about anyway.
